The Healing Begins When
Recovery naturally began when I surrendered my fight against AS.
Unfortunately this is something few people are willing to do.
This does NOT mean we surrender to a prognosis that has been given to us. It simply means we let go of the mental struggle that accompanies AS.
When we surrender the fight against Ankylosing Spondylits, we begin to dissolve the tension and the stress that is at the root cause of the body's improper immune attack.
Only once we begin to surrender the fight can we begin to take the necessary steps that allow our bodies to repair themselves on their own.
Yes, this even means that the body's painful autoimmune response can completely stop! I am living proof of this, and I am not alone.
In our modern era of scientific medicine, the continued research into the impacts of stress on the body are undeniable. The science is telling us that if we can let go of the stressors in our lives our body has an amazing ability to heal itself.
From personal experience I found that letting go of the fight against AS was extremely scary. I felt that my constant "fighting" against the pain, and powering through the pain was the only way I could keep going at times.
This "AS Warrior" attitude is common for those with AS for good reason, it can keep us moving in times of extreme pain.
However, once I let the internal fighting and struggling dissolve, the body was able to repair itself. The reason is because my body was not being so heavily influenced by immune suppressing hormones like Cortisol and Adrenaline anymore.
Cortisol and Adrenaline are but a few of the many chemicals which are released by the brain when it senses aggression or fear. Nearly all of these hormones damage and confuse the immune system.
Let go of the mental fight against AS, and your body will thank you.
If this makes sense to you, then you may be well on your way to remission from the painful symptoms of Ankylosing Spondylitis.
To your health and less pain,
